Silvia Nuñez
Peruvian mezzosoprano Silvia Nuñez received a Master’s degree in Voice Performance from Texas Christian University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Voice Performance degree from the San Agustin National University in her hometown of Arequipa, Peru. She also studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima. With a rich and luscious mezzo tone, Ms Nuñez has a soloist repertoire which includes different styles of baroque, oratorio, opera, lieder and modern music. She has given many performances in singing roles exposing her wide range, such as “Carmen” in La Tragedie de Carmen by Constant/Bizet, the “Waiting Woman” in The Goose Girl by T. Pasatieri, “Mother Teresa” in The Proposal by M. Granger, Stabat Mater by Hayden, Requiem by Mozart, Magnificat by Durante, Gloria by Vivaldi and Symphony No. 9 by Beethoven. She has also performed with Miguel Harth-Bedoya, as well as with Helmut Rilling and the Stuttgart Festival Ensemble for the 2006-2007 tour.
