(14’) composed in 2004 by Gabriela Frank (USA/Peru), for Andean Flutes (quenas, zampoñas, pitos, tarkas and wooden flute) and orchestra. This piece, which brings together the ancient and the new, is a narrative work about a legendary Inca Deity. The instruments used by the soloist were played during the time of the Incas and continue to be played today by folk musicians. This work has often been performed by Jessica Warren-Acosta.
