With INTI, the CAMINOS DEL INKA Recording Series initiates an exploration of the symphonic music of Peru. For the first time ever, more than three centuries of Peruvian music are gathered in one recording, from the 18th century music of cleric Baltasar Martínez and Compañón, to the fresh, dynamic works of contemporary composers Gabriela Frank and Jimmy Lopez.

Musuq Peru
Meaning "New Peru" in Quechua, the indigenous language of the Andes, Musuq Peru is a fitting title for a collection of music by Jimmy López, one of Peru's most talented young musical minds. Born in Lima and having lived and studied in Peru, Europe and the United States, Jimmy's music honors his Latin-American heritage while at the same time reflecting the multiculturalism and perpetual motion that shape modern life. All four works on this CD are world premiere recordings.

Ayres de Lima
Ayres de Lima explores the richness of South America through the sublime timbres of the guitar. Coming from a musical family where popular and classical music coexisted, María Luisa Harth-Bedoya has achieved a balanced and passionate union of her musical experiences in this beautiful album.

Rapsodia Latina
Features music for cello and piano with a Latin American flavor, including seven world premiere recordings. Performed by the acclaimed Lin/Castro-Balbi Duo, these nine works by various Latin American composers are in turn romantic and lush, soothing then energetic, youthful, exciting, and always engaging.

Alma del Peru
This album contains 23 beautiful pieces of Peruvian traditional music performed by the Orquesta Filarmonica de Lima, conducted by world-renowned Miguel Harth-Bedoya.
